Clyde Henry Freehling

Clyde Henry Freehling, 86, passed away at Brookside Care Center Kenosha, WI on Thursday March 28, 2024, surrounded by his four loving daughters. Clyde was born on October 4, 1937 in Racine, WI to the late Henry and Kathryn (née: Shaub) Freehling. Clyde was united in marriage to the LOVE of his life Gail (née Weber) Freehling on July 11, 1959. After graduating from William Horlick High School Clyde enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving for 4 years until he was honorably discharged. Later joining the Army National Guard retiring in 1994. Clyde was a firefighter serving with the Racine Fire Department for 7 years. He then worked as a car salesman for Frank Boucher Chevrolet Cadillac for 18 years. Clyde received degrees in food service management and hotel/motel management from Gateway Technical College. He was a member of Racine Assembly of God Church Racine, WI Clyde will be deeply missed by his four loving daughters, Traci (Wayne) Guillien, Kristin Steiner, Kelli (Alex) Anastasovski and Tricia (Eduardo) Cartagena: Grandchildren, Danielle (Jerry) Contreras, Kolin (Kate) Guillien, Jared(Haley) Guillien, Kyle(Julia) Steiner, Brianna, McKenna,Joseph and Cameron Steiner, Natalia (Reece) Bauer, Aleksandar and Sofia Anastasovski, Zachary Demet, Aric Cartagena, Marrisa(Nicholas) Nelson and Julia Cartagena: Great-Grandchildren, Gabriel, Jacob and Owen Contreras, Josie and Penelope Guillien, Georgia and Gretta (aka Guppy) Guillien, Jackson, Nicholas and Aurelia Steiner, Aiden, Chloe and Easton Demet, Charlotte (aka Cha Cha Louie) and Isabella (aka Busy Issie) Nelson, Beckett Cartagena, Baby Girl Bauer arriving September 2024 and the “son he never had” Matt Nelson. Clyde is further survived by brother-in-law; Larry Weber, sisters-in-law; Susie Sustacheck, and Vicki (Paul) Taylor, in addition to other family members and friends to numerous to list. He goes on to be reunited with his wife Gail of 64 years, his mother, father, brother, Larry (Rosemary) Freehling, and brother-in-law, John Sustacheck. A visitation will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Thursday April 4, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral will be held at Racine Assembly of God Church on Friday April 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ed Walker officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service with full military honors preceding the service.
