George Hugasian

AUBURN, CALIFORNIA - George Hugasian, 83, passed away on Feb 14, 2010 at the Siena Care Center in Auburn Calif. He was born in Racine on Sept 26, 1926 to Haji and Margaret (Keiffer) Hugasian. George grew up in Racine with his 11 brothers and sisters. He was united in marriage to Rosemary Troestler at Saint Mary's Church on May 8th 1955. George served in the United States Navy during World War II. He had been employed at J.I. Case Company for many years. In 1960 he ventured to California where he was employed for 17 years by Georgia Pacific. Upon retiring he lived in Racine for a few years. In 1984 George opened up his own business Hugasian Enterprise in Palo Alto, California, which he and his son, William ran and operated for many years. George was a very handy man and found great enjoyment in working on cars and trucks and spent countless hours tinkering with his coin collection. He was a member of the Peninsula Yacht Club in Redwood City, Calif. George looked forward to going to Reno and Tahoe, Nevada to play cards, meeting and socializing with people. Above all George was a very hard working man, loving husband, father, grandfather great grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all. George is survived by his wife Rosemary; daughters, Nancy (Wayne) Patterson, Kathy Hugasian and Roseann Fabris; sons, William and Paul (Patricia) Hugasian; grandchildren, Donald 'D.J', Donna, Matthew, David; great grandchildren, Alexa, Kaylyn, and soon to be Aieden; sisters, Dorothy Hugasian, Cecellia 'Lou' Anderson, Adell (Conrad) Piller, Joan Curnes, Shirley Hinojos, Diane Jellico, George is further survived by many other relatives, nieces, nephews, and very dear friends in Racine and Calif. He was preceded in death by sisters; Sarah McEvoy, Marie Gebelian and Marlene Schwartzenberger, brothers, John Keiffer and Robert Hugasian. Memorial services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Sunday February 28, 2009 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Mark Jones of St. Lucy's Catholic Church officiating. Private burial will take place on Monday. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m.
