Jacque Lynn Nielsen

Jacque L. Nielsen RACINE-Jacque Lynn Nielsen, 58, passed away peacefully at her residence on August 1, 2014 with her loving family by her side. Jacque was born in Racine on June 10, 1956, the daughter of the late William and Norma (nee: Kreft) Hoffman. She was a Washington Park High School graduate “Class of 1974” and furthered her education by attending U.W. Parkside. Jacque was united in marriage to Frank “Rocky” M. Nielsen Jr. at Holy Communion Lutheran Church on April 17, 1993. She was a faithful member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church for many years. Jacque served as the secretary at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She found great enjoyment in knitting and gardening, but most of her love and energy was dedicated to her family and loved ones. Jacque is survived by her husband, Rocky, son, Daniel J. (Laura) Kapellusch and their daughter, Malia; daughter, Andrea J. (nee: Kapellusch) and her husband, Adam Godson and their sons Kyler and Finley; daughter, Kristin L. (nee: Kapellusch) and her husband, Jeffrey Trimberger and their daughter, Samantha; son, Brian M. Nielsen and daughter, Stephanie L. Nielsen. She is further survived by her step-children Amy E. (Sean) Phelps and their sons Sam, Ben and Jack; Christopher W. Nielsen and his son, Anthony; Lindsay A. (Jacob) Mertz and their daughters Heidi, Megan and Julie. Jacque is also survived by her mother-in-law, Olga Nielsen, brother, William Hoffman Jr., nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Frank Michael Nielsen Sr. and sister, Patricia Lee Olle. Jacque’s funeral service will be held at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 2000 W. 6th Street, on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 11am with Rev. Mark Doidge officiating. She will be laid to rest near her parents in a private ceremony at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6th from 4pm until 7pm and will continue at church on Thursday from 10am until service time at 11am.
