Jodi J. Balestreri CALEDONIA - I, Jodi Jean Balestreri, age 55, smiled and began my journey into eternal life with my Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday December 22, 2014, surrounded by my loving family. I was born in West Allis, Wisconsin on May 29, 1959, the daughter of William and Jean Liss, who preceded me in death. On September 11, 1982, I married my best friend, Mark Balestreri in Milwaukee, as we celebrated 32 years of heartfelt love for each other. My pride, beside my love for my family, was playing with my puppies and planting my flower garden. I was gainfully employed at AT&T for 31 years as a Technical Support Specialist. I decided to retire four years ago to spend more time with my husband, children and the peaceful outdoors at our lake home on Pecor Lake; enjoying a cup of coffee, campfires and a good cocktail with family and friends. My husband and I could be found sightseeing many different lighthouses around the country, and finishing off a fun day with a good glass of wine from various wineries and a flavorful Ghirardelli chocolate. I’m survived by the love of my life, Mark and my wonderful children, Corri (Thomas) Depp, Joe Balestreri and his fiancée Brittney Wentworth. I was very blessed to have twin granddaughters, Aubrey Rae and Addilyn Mae; who were brought into my life before my passing. My memorial service will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. My family will receive friends and loved ones from 10:30 a.m. until service time. I request that memorials in my name be directed to Wisconsin Humane Society for the benefit of less fortunate animals. On behalf of my family I would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Jonathan Treisman for keeping my family positive and always giving us hope. Also, thanks to all the nurses on 4 West at Wheaton Franciscan, Franklin, especially Sarah C. and LaWanda for taking time out of your busy day to care for me and pray with my family. Last but not least, I would like to thank Jill Michel at St. Francis for her special care and devotion, as you helped ease my pain, brought on by my chemotherapy treatments.
