Our mom, loved to write and with just a few updates, she penned the following obituary. Old Christians never die, they only move to a better location. That's what I did on Wednesday morning, August 2, 2023 at Killarney Kourt in Sturtevant. Now, instead of limping with pain, I'm leaping with joy because I'm with my Best Friend, my Savior Jesus Christ. I was the youngest of five living children born to Carl and Tilda Hanson in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on April 24, 1924. My siblings were Clinton, Gordon, Elsie and LaVerne. When I was three years old our family moved to Racine because of better job opportunities. I was married to Bernard Weber for 53 years until his death on February 14, 2000. I am survived by my two splendid daughters, Connie (Roger) Gerber of Cobb, WI and Colleen (John) Dorsey of Racine and two wonderful sons-in-law. I am survived by five treasured grandchildren in order of birth: Thomas (Pattie) Dorsey of San Diego, CA; Joseph (Rachel) Dorsey of Sturtevant, WI; Aaron (Izabel) Gerber of Grand View, MO; Sarah (Marcis) Davidson of Greenfield, WI; and Joshua Gerber of Cobb, WI. I am further survived by eleven adored great grandchildren; Ella, Liam and Lucian Dorsey of San Diego, CA; Elaina, Audrey, Adalyn and Abigail Davidson of Greenfield, WI; Weston and Max Dorsey of Sturtevant, WI; and Eve and Zion Gerber of Grand View, MO. I also leave behind my special sister-in-law Joyce (Don) Krueger. I leave behind five beloved nieces: Sharon (Doug) McIntosh, Kathy (Ron) Neider, Karen (Ray) Arco, Kris (Ron) Huber and Lynn Krueger who was also my Goddaughter. My beloved nephews are Gary (Renda) Danzer and Kurt (Jackie) Krueger. I was preceded in death by all my siblings and my brother-in-law Don Krueger, my nieces Mona, Mildred and Barbara and my nephew Carl and many other dear relatives and friends. I leave behind other dear relatives and fine friends at Racine Bible Church, Lake Oaks Apartments in Racine, and Killarney Kourt. I was employed in the offices of Hamilton Beach, S.C. Johnson and Rainfair, Inc. I was also a teachers' assistant at Goodland School. I enjoyed people, laughter, creative writing, traveling and playing Scrabble with Colleen. A special thank you to Dr. Katherine Bunce, Dr. Ellen Spiering, Dr. Syed Haider, Dr. Michael Dreifke, Dr. Prakash D. Shah, Dr. Iftekhar H. Bader, and all their kind staff plus a special thank you to ProMedica Hospice nurses Cindy and Heather and Laurie and several others plus the caring CNAs Amanda and Angie, and their Music Therapist, Bethany. The amazing expert Assisted Living staff and administration at Killarney Kourt, were so appreciated and too numerous to mention. I LOVED YOU ALL! A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 2, 2023 at Racine Bible Church 12505 Spring Street in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation at 10:00 a.m.and services at 11:00 a,m, followed by lunch. Memorials to Racine Bible Church Missionary Fund are appreciated. A private burial was held with immediate family on Monday, August 7, 2023.
