Lucille Margaret Kitzman

Lucille M. Kitzman Clarinda, Iowa – Lucille Margaret (nee: Patt) Kitzman, 97, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014 in Clarinda, Iowa with her family by her side. She was born to Edward and Ida ‘Edith’ Patt in Milwaukee. They moved to Sheboygan and then settled in Racine. She was a graduate of Washington Park High School. Lucille married Harry Kitzman Sr. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on June 5, 1937. They were married for 59 years until he passed away in 1997. Her most enjoyable times were being with her family. Lucille also enjoyed traveling and reading. She had been a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Racine for over 70 years. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Nancy DeBoer and son, Harry (Marilyn) Kitzmann Jr; nine grandchildren, Timothy (Diane) DeBoer, Jeffrey (Rose) DeBoer, Jill (Kurt Burmester) Matson, Robert (Maureen McGinley) Martin Jr, William (Michelle) Martin, Brian (Rachel) Kitzmann, Daniel (Sheila) Kitzmann, Kathleen (Jim Yocom) Kitzmann; 17 great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Norma Kitzman. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Kitzman Sr, daughter Linda Schmidt; granddaughters, Jacqueline Martin and Laura Kitzmann; great great-granddaughter, Sofia Rodriguez; sister, Edith Winchester; brothers, Charles, Edward Jr. and Wallace Patt; sons-in-law, Robert Martin Sr. and Donald DeBoer; sisters-in-law, Jean and Helen Patt, Berta Lloyd, Lena, Edrie and Tillie Kitzman, Mae Marweg; brothers-in-law, Delbert McClure, Earl Winchester, Guy Lloyd, Harvey and Arthur Kitzman and Melvin Marweg. Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1501 Erie St. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jack Gilbert officiating. There will be a visitation at the church on Saturday before services from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. Lucille will be laid to rest next to her husband at West Lawn Memorial Park.
