Michael Jack Molbeck With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Jack Molbeck, age 67, due to multiple health complications. He was a beloved son, cherished brother, loyal friend, and beacon of light to all who knew him. Michael was born in Racine, WI on November 6, 1957, and left us on December 13, 2024, leaving behind both a life well lived and one left too soon. Michael graduated from Horlick High School in 1975 and enrolled in classes at UW Parkside. He left college for a bigger calling and proudly served in the U.S. Army 5th Special Forces, known as the Green Berets and was stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. He completed jump school and recorded 153 jumps on his resume from C130s to other aircraft. His military experience provided personal growth and sparked his love for exploration and wanderlust. He enjoyed numerous adventures including running with the bulls in Pamplona Spain, Octoberfest in Munich, and Wimbledon in London. He also gained a passion and great talent for photography that would last a lifetime. After his military service, Michael (lovingly known as Mike, Mick, Mickey, and jughead among other names) pursued a career in sales & marketing for a variety of brands with Coors, MillerCoors and Mike’s Hard Lemonade that included moves to Denver, San Diego and ultimately making his way back “home” to Wisconsin. He excelled at relationship building, which proved an asset for both his career and his big and wide circle of friendships. He was fiercely loyal and maintained early childhood friendships throughout his life. This wouldn’t be a heartfelt tribute if we didn’t acknowledge that Mick navigated a challenging personal life, experiencing both highs and lows in his relationships at times. (Who doesn’t, really?) Despite those complexities, we will remember joy in so many moments together as family. Mick had kindness, an amazing sense of humor with a memorable laugh, and an unwavering love for his family, most notably for his Mom and Dad. True to the Molbeck name, he also had a love of sports, including all his home state teams. He had a particular love for baseball, which he played for many years and enjoyed following. Mick had a deep love of music, and we enjoyed many sing-along nights and sibling concerts together; most recently seeing Chicago in Chicago. We could no doubt create a playlist that would make him proud and make us all sing. In fact, if you’re still reading this, pause and pull up the song Old Days by Chicago as your background music to get the full Mick Molbeck tribute feeling. I guarantee if you play this, Mick will be singing along from above. This life is beautifully complicated, and our brother will be deeply missed. Our hearts are light knowing he is at peace and our lives are better for having loved him and known his love. In our last conversation he asked if he could come to our family Christmas party. We’re comforted to know that he’ll be in our hearts this Christmas and every day thereafter. Mick is survived by his father, Jack Molbeck, brothers Todd (Monica) Molbeck, Kevin (Marcie) Molbeck, Kipp (Stephanie) Molbeck and sisters Janis (Joe) Dye and Jill (Dale) Tomalin, as well as nieces and nephews Jenni and Jeff (Kacie) Dye, Cassie (Stephen) Hoehnen, Melissa Geurtsen, Adam (Ashley) Molbeck, Bennett (his godson), Emma and Stella Tomalin, along with many great nieces and nephews. Mick was preceded in death by his mother June Molbeck Hartog. A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the funeral home with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 10:30 a.m. In remembrance of Mike, please feel free to wear our favorite sport attire.
