Robert Clickner

Robert M. Clickner RACINE-Robert M. “Bob” Clickner, 83, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care-All Saints on March 30, 2011. Bob was born in Racine on June 23, 1927, the son of the late Robert and Ruby (nee: Carver) Clickner. He was a graduate of Wm. Horlick High School “Class of 1945”. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp, proudly serving his country from 1945 until 1947. On July 1, 1950 Bob was united in marriage to Mary Murawski. He was employed at Hamilton Beach prior to his employment as a Fireman with the City of Racine retiring after many years of service. Bob found great enjoyment in fishing; he found solitude in walking, but most of all spending time with his family including his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren brought him his greatest joy. Bob is survived by children, Barb (Jim) Keuffer of Sturtevant, Jerry (Charlotte) Dunn of Manitowoc, Tom (Stevie) Dunn of Racine and nine grandchildren, Joe (Sandy) Keuffer, Nicole (Heriberto) Ramirez, Maryellen (Mark) Pekarske, Bill, Steve, Susan, and Erick (Renee) Dunn, Anne Marie Fleischmann and Ashley Dunn. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Bob is further survived by brother, John (Leslie) Clickner, sister, Shirley Horvath, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary on April 26, 1998, two grandsons, Jeffrey and Gary Dunn and one brother, Jean Clickner. Funeral services for Bob will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Saturday April 2, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park following services, concluding with full military honors. Visitation will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Bob’s name to Wheaton Franciscan Hospice, 1055 Prairie Drive, Racine, WI 53406. The Clickner family would like to extend a very special thank you to the entire staff at Wheaton Franciscan Hospice for their care, support and professionalism in caring for Bob.
