Thomas B. Stindle

Thomas Benedict Stindle, 79, resident of Racine, passed away at home on July 1, 2024, from MDS, a cancer of the bone marrow. He was born on March 15, 1945, to Frank and Lucille Stindle. Tom attended St. John Nepomuk and graduated from St. Catherine’s High School, Class of 1963. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1965 and went to NCO leadership school and received an honorable discharge in 1969 with the rank of sergeant. Tom married Patti Pulice, the love of his life for over 40 years in January of 1983 in Las Vegas. Patti and Tom then received the sacrament of matrimony in 2019 with the help of Fr. Richard Molter, a very special friend. Tom was employed at Western Publishing for 38 years as a journeyman bookbinder and made millions of coloring books. He also was President of the Western Employees Association for 10 years, which was the association that ran the company picnics and dances. Tom sold advertising for Kenosha Labor paper and Happenings magazine for 10 years after Western Publishing closed. Tom loved playing golf for over 40 years. He ran the St. Cat’s Class of “63” golf outing for many years. Tom loved Door County all his life, first vacationing in family vacations and then with his wife Patti at their summer place in Heritage Lakes Resort. He also loved to play at all the golf courses in Door County and Florida. Tom is survived by his wife, Patti, brother, Dick (Marlene) Stindle, of Sun City West, Arizona, brother-in-law, James Schimanski, sister-in-law, Barb (Andy) Solomon, brothers-in-law, Frank (Sandra) Pulice, Tom (Debbie) Pulice, sister-in-law, Gina (Chris Magulski) Christensen. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, great nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sally Schimanski, two great nieces, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam and Rose Marie Pulice. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Tom in a special way may direct memorials to St. Joseph’s Indian School, P.O. Box 326, Chamberlain, S.D. 57326, Sacred Heart Church or the charity of one’s choice. Tom's Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until mass time.
