William 'Bill' C. George

William C. George WIND POINT - William C. George, 71, loving husband to Debra H George, passed on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in Racine, WI. Bill was born July 8, 1944 in South Bend, Indiana. He grew up in Western Springs, IL and attended the University of Illinois in Champaign. Bill and Debra met at the U of I where they both graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing in 1966. They were married in 1968 in Chicago and recently celebrated their 47th anniversary. Bill joined Procter & Gamble in Chicago in January of 1967 in the Sales Department. While at P&G he was required to serve his active duty in the US Army Reserve. He then completed a variety of Sales and Marketing Management positions in Chicago, Ft Wayne, and Cincinnati. In 1977 Bill and Debra moved to Racine Wisconsin where he joined SC Johnson, Inc. His 30 year career included assignments as National Sales Manager and other Marketing Management positions, retiring in 2007. Since retirement they have enjoyed spending time with their family, traveling, skiing, golfing, and boating on Lake Michigan. Bill, Debra, and Brian experienced 28 years of adventures while cruising throughout Lake Michigan, even traveling to Ontario Canada via the North Channel in 1992. Bill is survived by his wife, Debra H. George and their son, Brian W. George, daughter-in-law, Kelly M. George, and grandsons, Owen and Colin George. his brother, Richard E. George II and sister-in-law, Judy B. George, He is also survived by his nephew Richard E. George III and wife, Lisa and their children, his niece, Susan (Peter) Swanson and their children, his niece, Jennifer (Todd) Young and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Ervin George and Martha H. George. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at Sturino Funeral Home at 4 p.m. with Reverend Ronald Segedy officiating. There will be a visitation on Friday at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Memorials can be made to the National Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The society helps fund leukemia research and provides financial assistance to families dealing with blood cancers.
