James R. Nelson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

James "Jim" R. Nelson, 57, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Ascension All Saints. Jim was born in Racine on September 22, 1964 to Richard and Karen (nee: Murphy) Nelson. He graduated from Washington Park High School in 1982. He continued on to create American Eagle Trucking, where he worked as an owner operator for many years. Jim was a Moose Lodge member. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his Harley, working on his Chevelle, fishing, spending time at his cabin up north, and woodworking. Above all, Jim loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandson. He will be missed by his mother, Karen; children, Amanda Nelson, Jeremy (Maria Pennings) Nelson; grandson, Jackson; and his four legged best friend, Whitey. Jim is further survived by other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Nelson, and his brother, Pete Nelson. Memorial Service will be held at Sturino Funeral Home at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2022. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thanks to all the staff who cared for Jim.
