RACINE - Robert "Bob" Louis Menghe, 74, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Ascension-All Saints. Bob was born on May 30, 1945 in Milwaukee, the son of Louis and Ann Marie (nee: Peckman) Menghe. He was united in marriage to Diane Starks on October 22, 1983. Bob proudly served in the United States Army for more than three years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Bob was an iron worker and a member of Local 8. He played a big part in the construction of major buildings in metro Milwaukee, including Miller Park, Bradley Center and US Bank Building. Bob had many interests and enjoyed staying active. He enjoyed riding his Harley, bicycle riding, playing pool and cribbage and especially the time he and his family spent up north. Surviving is his wife, Diane and their children, Anna Marie (Richie) Pittsley, Dominic (Amber) Menghe, Dawn (Todd) Gibson and Becky (Joe) Dolezal; grandchildren, Alanna, Nevaeh, Kennedy, Ellianah, Maverick, Haley, Lucas, Talia, Emily and Joey; sisters, Linda (Jim) Denter, Judy (Bill) Lang and Patty Gordon. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Donald and Jim and a nephew, Jason Denter. In keeping with Bob's wishes, private services with Military Honors have been held.
