Victor R. Andress

Victor R. Andress OAK CREEK - Victor Raymond Andress, 90, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Meadowmere Assisted Living Center. He was born in Rusk County, WI on February 15, 1927, to the late William R. and Myrtle (nee: Hansen) Andress. Victor was a lifetime resident of Racine, graduating from Washington Park High School. He joined the United States Navy in 1945, and served as a 3rd Class Medal Smyth in WWII, being honorably discharged in 1947. On March 21, 1946, Victor was united in marriage to Irene 'Arlene' Becker. They spent 69 wonderful years together, traveling, camping, and raising their family. He worked as a machinist at J.I. Case Company for 30 years, retiring in 1989. Vic enjoyed 28 years of retirement, spending 15 of those years with Arlene snowbirding in Florida. Victor was also on the board of directors for Case Credit Union (Horizon), and was Chairman of the board for 7 years, stepping down in 2007. He is survived by his children, Vickie Kapellusch of Racine, Joan (James) Simmons of Green Lake, Patricia (Larry) Dolan of Racine, and Sue (Patrick) DeGrave of Oak Creek; grandchildren, Chad (Jessica) Kapellusch, Brandon Kapellusch, Jennifer (Steve) Martin, Jamie (Eric) Fanshaw, Jim (Jodi) Simmons, Tim (Erin) Dolan, Mark (Rachel) Dolan, and John DeGrave; great-grandchildren, Jessica Kapellusch, Kyle Kapellusch, Corrine Kapellusch, Cody Kapellusch, Cailey Kapellusch, Tyler Martin, Allison Simmons, Ian Simmons, Alex Fanshaw, Olivia Dolan, Brynn Dolan, and Finley Dolan. Victor is further survived by his sister-in-law, Lorena Becker, and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene ‘Arlene’ in April 2015, one son-in-law, Michael Kapellusch, father and mother in-law, Romey and Blanche Becker, brother, Donald (Dorothy) Andress; sisters, Lucille (Robert) Mudge, and Dorothy (Stu) Senalik, Brothers-in-law; Duane (Gertrude) Becker, Herman (Irene) Becker, Raymond Becker, and James (Catherine) Becker. Funeral services for Victor will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. Victor will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
